  This is the busiest part of the city. In this massive, bowl-shaped 
depression made of fused rock rest weary adventurers like yourself.
Groups of merchants, travellers, and urchins pass by you on their way 
east or west along Tool Street. Just north of here is the peaceful, 
tree-lined Technology Square. To the south is Central Square, which 
is almost as busy as this one. Above you is a museum suspended on a 
single thin filament of some ancient metal. A staircase leads up.

  You stand in the center of a large, peaceful square paved with blocks of
an everlasting ferro-concrete mix. Singing birds adorn the tops of several 
tall willow trees, which grow in a ring around you. Just to the west, a
massive structure rises high into the sky: the fabled Temple of Technology. 
North of here, you see the Plaza, and the Hall of the Ancients. The great 
wide platter known as Ground Zero is to the south, and to the east is a 
large, well-kept inn built into the base of an ancient building.
A large white fountain flows endlessly in the middle of the square.

  This is the wide-open Plaza. A concentric ring of steps leads up to the 
Hall of the Ancients, which towers high over the center of the square. On 
the very top of the Hall is a huge, crumbling statue of a woman holding a 
large tablet in one hand. The other arm has long since disappeared. To the 
north are the city gates, and to the south lies Technology Square. The 
Information Center and House of Commerce are to the west and east of here, 
respectively.

  You stand just inside the massive northern gates of the city. South of 
here, the Plaza opens up with its many trees and fountains. You can see 
the great Hall of the Ancients in the center of the wide square. North 
Street runs to the east and west from here. The tall, preserved skeletons
of ancient buildings tower over the city.

walls rise the ancient skeletons of bizarre structures long forgotten.
