I seem to recall characters that were EoE and for all intents and purposes
lived down and around WZ, BGF, and all those other areas which now seem to
turn a person's alignment irrevocably towards good... RZA/Grot/Celtic/Elmaster
come to mind off hand. Albeit, this was a decidedly different version of
TD2, but I also sincerely doubt that the higher-ups went through and spent
there time concentrating on changing the alignment off all those mobs just
enough so that an evil player couldn't kill down there.

Now to the point... If those guys could do it, there's got to be a way. None
of them had any special knowledge that isn't available to the general public
of Tdome.
