Carved Out Room
   This smelly chamber is about twenty feet square, and was probably carved  
out by miners at some point.  There is a fire pit in the middle of the room  
and a large black pot near it, with piles of junk and debris scattered about. 
The smell of rotten food and feces is nearly unbearable, but is quenched 
somewhat by a cool draft coming from somewhere.  The only visible exit from  
the area is back to the west.

Stalagmite Mound
   A mammoth stalagmite mound rises up into the ceiling of this very tall  
cavern.  The mound is about two hundred feet in diameter at its base, and  
dull gray in color.  The floor and walls are uneven, yet glassy smooth,  
resembling a mud slide that froze solid.  There is also a large boulder  
covering something on the eastern wall.  Caverns exit to the north and  
south of here.

Carved Out Room
   This smelly chamber is about twenty feet square, and was probably carved  
out by miners at some point.  There is a fire pit in the middle of the room  
and a large black pot near it, with piles of junk and debris scattered about. 
The smell of rotten food and feces is nearly unbearable, but is quenched 
somewhat by a cool draft coming from somewhere.  The only visible exit from  
the area is back to the west.

Edge of a Great Underground River (Water)
   A huge river flows from north to south here, carving out a great cavern  
in the limestone rock.  This small edge or shore is only about thirty feet in  
length, and no way can be seen bypass the river except by boat.  The cold,  
humid air is thick with the smell of lime and other subterranean minerals.   
The river is about thirty yards wide.  There is a flat rock on the shore  
here that has a message carved upon it.

An Underground River (Water)
   This great river's brisk current is strong, but not enough so to 
inhibit travel in either direction.  The water is immensely cold, and 
very clear though the bottom is too far down to see.  The river itself 
reaches to the cavern's midpoint, and continues on to the north 
and south into more narrow areas.  The area is illuminated in a pale 
light by a strange, purple glowing fungus that covers the walls and 
ceiling of the cavern.

   This cavern runs along about three hundred feet, where it dead-ends 
into a rocky wall.  Large stalactites jut downwards from the ceiling, 
some of them into the river itself.  The rivers pace is even more brisk 
in this area, running north to south.  A rushing sound can be heard from 
the north.  The illuminating, purple fungus is abundant in this cavern.

A Stone Beach
   A cramped, smooth ledge of stone leads right up to the edge of a
swiftly flowing river here.  The walls are rounded and smooth, with small,
glowing bits of blue and yellow fungi and lichens attached in various
places.  The ledge rises about two inches above the surface of the river,
whose dark waters seem quiet and deep.  Thin, exotically-colored orange
and red swirls run through the stone walls, hinting at ore deposits hidden
just beneath the surface of the stone.  The swirls continue to the north,
where a dark, gaping tunnel disappears into the rock.

   A grey slate wall marks the northern end of an old waterflow.  No
further northern source for the old waterflow is visible.  The ground here
slopes down somewhat as the waterflow continues further south, suggesting
that this area may finally have been too high for the water to continue
to flow through.  There seems to be no further way to move north, but it
does seem as if someone or something has been here recently.  A few
shaggy tufts of gray fur are stuck to the wall and floor, and a few small
bones litter the floor.

A Su-Monster Family Dwelling
   Scores of scattered bones and piles of thick, coarse gray fur mark this
dwelling as belonging to a family of su-monsters.  A small
firepit is set in the middle of the floor for roasting the family meal,
while several scattered piles of cloth and fur seem to be beds for the
various family members.  A few exotic-looking plants and fungi hang from
the ceiling, no doubt to be used to add a little zest to a home-coooked
meal.  Few possessions can be seen amidst the rest of the clutter, other
than the odd rusted sword or dented, hardly useable piece of armor.  A
small cleft in the stone leads north into a wide tunnel.

A Wide Tunnel in a Su-Monster Clan Stronghold
   An extremely wide tunnel has been crudely carved through the blackest
of rock here, linking all of the su-monster family dwellings
together, allowing ease of movement between them and defense.  Moving
around as quickly as they do, it's impossible to get an accurate estimate
of how many live within this clan.  Shaggy tufts of gray hair fairly cover
the floor, making movement somewhat of an adventure.  The walls are gouged
and scratched across their entire length, no doubt by teething su-
monster children and the claws of the larger adults.  The tunnel
seems to extend both east and west.

End of a Twisting, Slimy Tunnel
   The tunnel ends abruptly here at a mass of dislodged rocks.  The
ceiling seems to have given way, completly obliterating anything that was
underneath and preventing any further access to the east.  The walls here
are covered with a thick, dark green slime, which sheds a very, very soft
glow on the area.  None of the slime is present at all on the southern
section of the wall though, as if that wall were coated with some sort of
repellent.  On every other portion of the wall, the slime is at least a
half an inch thick.

A Twisting, Slimy Tunnel
   Piles and puddles of foul-smelling, dark green slime cover the floor
and walls of this small tunnel.  The slime is dried and caking along the
edges of the wall and floor, but is deeper and more slimy along the floor,
walls and ceiling.  Walking down the tunnel in either direction becomes a
slurping, sucking affair, with floor slime clinging tenaciously to boots
and refusing to let go.  From what is visible beneath the slime, the walls
seem to have been worn incredibly smooth, as if by the passage of some
mammoth beast or by the quick flow of massive amounts of water.  The
tunnel continues in both directions.

Bend in a Slimy Tunnel
   The tunnel widens out considerably here as it rounds a bend from south
to east.  Less of the dark green slime is visible on the walls, although
the amount which is there smells just as bad as all the rest of it does.
Small grooves are visible in the floor of the tunnel here, almost
paralleling the exact form of the tunnel, as they sweep from south to
east.  It's as if someone or something had taken a very sharp dagger and
carved the grooves into the floor.  The grooves do not lead west, where
a small cave can be seen through an extremely narrow opening.

Bend in a Slimy Tunnel
   The tunnel widens out considerably here as it rounds a bend from south
to east.  Less of the dark green slime is visible on the walls, although
the amount which is there smells just as bad as all the rest of it does.
Small grooves are visible in the floor of the tunnel here, almost
paralleling the exact form of the tunnel, as they sweep from south to
east.  It's as if someone or something had taken a very sharp dagger and
carved the grooves into the floor.  The grooves do not lead west, where
a small cave can be seen through an extremely narrow opening.

Bend in the Slimy Tunnel
   The slime is incredibly thick here as the tunnel bends from north to
east, giving off noxious vapors that threaten to overwhelm even the
hardiest adventurer.  But in addition to the slime, there are also numerous
gouges in the floor and walls.  The gouges range from small, round and deep
ones to long, claw-like scratches.  Most of them are blackened around the
edges, as if they had been burned, and all of them are completely devoid
of the dark green slime.  There is a particularly heavy concentration of
them in the northwestern corner of the tunnel.  In fact, that whole area
of the wall has been completely scorched black.
