This is Mogr's bag test list, from January. The main purpose of the bag testing is to see the weightless and non weightless values. Here's how it works: Bags have two capacities, weightless and non weightless. If a bag holds 50 pounds weightless and 25 non, you can put up to 50 pounds worth of items into the bag and the bag will still have a weight of 0. Now, if you put 51 pounds of items into the bag, the weight of the bag will now be 1 pound. The total capacity of the bag will be 75 pounds, but generally the non weightless capacity is unimportant. Additionally, when you examine a bag, generally an estimate of the non weightless amount is what is displayed.

1)	a bag of holding - "Looks like it can hold about 220
lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 200 lbs weightless, then
will hold another 225 lbs on top of that = max 425 lbs.

2)	a bag of snatching ñ ìLooks like it can hold about 60
lbs.î - Is wt. 1 when empty. Holds 64 lbs = max 65 lbs.

3)	a belt of holding ñ ìLooks like it can hold about 80
lbs.î Is wt. 0 when empty. Holds 75 lbs weightless, then
will hold another 80 lbs on top of that = max 155 lbs. From
Mob in Bloodstone. Affects : ARMOR By ñ6 when worn (waist).

4)	a black leather backpack ñ ìLooks like it can hold about
150 lbs.î - Is wt. 4 when empty. Holds 146 lbs = max 150
lbs. From Minthka shop.

5)	a bottomless bag of the illithids ñ 175 lbs wtless, 200
lbs total ñ From IX, Illithid Merchant. (Untested)

6)	a bottomless bag of the Tinkers - NOBURN - "Looks like
it can hold about 500 lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 300
lbs weightless, then will hold another 500 lbs on top of
that = max 800 lbs. Purchased from shop on EM (one per
boot). Affects : DEX By 4, Affects : SV_SPELL By ñ1 when
worn (about body).

7)	a buckskin pack - "Looks like it can hold about 70 lbs."
- Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 30 lbs weightless, then will
hold another 70 lbs on top of that = max 100 lbs. From Ice
Crag Quest. Affects : MOVE By 25 when worn (about body).

8)	a dimensional vault ñ NOBURN -ìLooks like it can hold
about 500 lbs.î - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 400 lbs
weightless, then will hold another 500 lbs on top of that =
max 900 lbs. From Airship Quest. Affects : STR By 9 when
held.

9)	a goatskin backpack ñ ìLooks like it can hold about 50
lbs. ì Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 10 lbs weightless.

10)	a large bag sewn from dragon-gut - NOBURN - "Looks like
it can hold about 300 lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 300
lbs weightless, then will hold another 300 lbs on top of
that = max 600 lbs. From Jot Rare.

11)	a Llewyrr bag of depth - NOBURN - "Looks like it can
hold about 250 lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 60 lbs
weightless, then will hold another 250 lbs on top of that =
max 310 lbs. Purchased from shop on Moonshes.

12)	a long flowing black robe ñ ìLooks like it can hold
about 120 lbs.î Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 20 lbs
weightless, then will hold another 120 lbs on top of that =
max 140 lbs. From Black Mage, Tower of High Sorcery.
Affects : SV_SPELL By -2 when worn (about body).

13)	a portable hole ñ 7500 lbs wtless, 7500 lbs total ñ
probably NOBURN. From Tiamat. (Untested)

14)	a pouch of the nighthunter ñ NOBURN ñ ìLooks like it
can hold about 250 lbs.î - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 250
lbs weightless, then will hold another 250 lbs on top of
that = max 500 lbs.

15)	a rathide backpack ñ ìLooks like it can hold about 100
lbs.î Is wt. 1 when empty. Holds 99 lbs = max 100 lbs.
Unknown origin.

16)	a runed hatori hide sack - 350 lbs wtless, 350 lbs
total ñ Quest. (Untested)

17)	a silvery sack - "Looks like it can hold about 200
lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 270 lbs weightless, then
will hold another 200 lbs on top of that = max 470 lbs.

18)	a small silver chest ñ NOBURN ñ 50 lbs wtless, 200lbs
total, !id. From Scourn Quest.

19)	a tattered silken sack - "Looks like it can hold about
150 lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 150 lbs weightless,
then will hold another 150 lbs on top of that = max 300
lbs. From Isela, in forest near Dusk.

20)	a wolfhide knapsack - "Looks like it can hold about 100
lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 75 lbs weightless, then
will hold another 100 lbs on top of that = max 175 lbs.
>From Hobgoblin in TF. Affects : WEIGHT By -75 when held (1
hand).

21)	a wondrous bag of elven magic ñ 400 lbs wtless, 400 lbs
total ñ Probably NOBURN. From Erlanís Quest. (Untested)

22)	an elemental bag of tricks - NOBURN - "Looks like it
can hold about 300 lbs." - Is wt 0 when empty. Holds 300
lbs weightless, then will hold another 300 lbs on top of
that = max 600 lbs. From Elemental Tower.

23)	an ethereal sack - "Looks like it can hold about 400
lbs." - Is wt. 5 when empty. Holds 395 lbs = max 400 lbs.
Unknown origin.

24)	some voluminous dark robes ñ NOBURN - ìLooks like it
can hold about 70 lbs.î - Is wt. 2 when empty. Holds 68 lbs
= max 70 lbs. From Scournubel. Affects : ARMOR By ñ8
Affects : HITPOINTS By 10 when worn (about body) NO-WARRIOR
NO-CLERIC NO-THIEF.

25)	the ceremonial robes of the Sky Pony  - ìLooks like it
can hold about 100 lbs.î Is wt. 0 when empty. Holds 100 lbs
= max 100 lbs. From GN Quest. Affects : MOVE By 40 WEIGHT
By ñ50 when worn (about body). ANTI-EVIL FLOAT Barbarian

And a few more fit in there somewhere, which I have yet to
check out.

Conclusions thus far:

Of the bags tested: the dimensional vault is best as it
holds 400 lbs weightless. Followed by the Gut, Tricks and
Tinkers bags which each hold 300 lbs weightless.
Gut > Tricks > Tinkers ñ Because the gut has the smallest
and easiest keyword and is lots +style, the Tricks is cool
style also, wereas the Tinkers has average ansi and needs
to be purchased for relatively lots of money.
The Portable Hole, of course, is by far the best bag in the
game regardless.
