Midnight Alliance Information:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The morning light from the rising sun graced the blood strewn valley. Equipment and bodies lie
strewn across the now desolate clearing. The light reflected off the hilt of a sword still in the
grasp of its now less than agile owner. Beetles and flies began to encompass the previously dormant
land as they disposed off
the remains performing their task assigned by nature and its
deities.;------------------------------------------------------------
Lasar raised his holy symbol and uttered a word of gratitude to Mielikki. Clambering to his feet,
the thin yet broad-shouldered young man began to pack up his belongings as his fellow travelers
signaled their intent to move on.;What is it with you elves? Always stopping to commune with nature
when the rest of us are r
eady to move on! grumbled Aldavien as he nudged Lasar who was attempting to feed a ground squirrel a
partially eaten nut he had foraged earlier. Aldavien was quite a bit larger than Lasar looking even
larger in his full armor set. He often tried to use his size to intimidate the man who had a mixed
ancestry of elf and
human. ;Im coming! You know for a paladin you sure don't seem to participate in much charity. Lasar
replied.;Charity? Since when is feeding a local rodent a form of charity? Aldavien contested. For
once you are actually feeding them instead of feeding on them! ;Would you rather I feed one of your
fingers to them? Sai
d Lasar as he unsheathed his long sword.;Bring it on nature boy! Youll have to stop hugging that
tree first though! Aldavien retorted.;Guys! Guys! Knock it off! We need to move on before the light
fades away. Risaros barked at them.
Lasar shot a look of disgust at Risaros as he resheathed his sword. Aldavien snorted lewdly at the
small mans orders.
You know we should just let them go at it one day, maybe then theyll learn. Aedwyn said aside to
Risaros in elvish. ;No, no, weve already spent the last few hours recovering from battle. We cant
spare anymore time. He replied.
So the group who called themselves The Adventuring Brigade began once again upon their journey south
from the human town of Waterdeep that had become home to many of those who claimed to be fighting
for the side of good. They had already past the a giant troll who guarded the bridge attempting to
collect a toll from t
ravelers. They had embarked across the High Road full of merchants and tourists traveling to and
from Waterdeep and through a shady forest inhabited by only small woodland creatures. The band of
not so merry men continued across a Great Plain through ancient ruins created by an unknown and
seemingly ancient people bef
ore they came to the edge of the Trollbark Forest. A hush grew over the group. Night had fallen
while the group crossed the plains and now they looked back upon red, beady eyes that peered through
the dense forest at them. Cries of small woodland creatures could be heard as they hunted or were
hunted.
Kerek tugged on Aldaviens sleeve attempting to get his attention. The tall man leaned over so that
Kerek could whisper something into Aldaviens ear. Aedwyn and Lasar glanced at each other for when
Kerek spoke, he was one to be heard. The short and round stereotypical dwarf had sworn an oath to
uphold the philosophy of
his gods and was devout in all his actions.;That is an excellent idea Kerek. Aldavien said out loud
to the rest of the group.;Whats this? asked Risaros inquisitively.;I was only suggesting to Aldavien
that perhaps one of us should go ahead and scout out the forest before the rest of us go through.
That way we can tak
e the shortest and safest path through and have knowledge of what lies ahead. Kerek said as he
leaned against a nearby rock.;We should vote to decide which of us will scout out the forest. Aedwyn
suggested.;Why dont we just send in the ranger, he is trained to blend in with the forest. Risaros
interjected. Lasar quick
ly looked up from the piece of wood he had been absentmindedly whittling away on.;You want to send
me into the forest? Full of trolls. Alone?!? Lasar exclaimed.;It is the most obvious choice out of
all of us. Do that disappearing act of yours and no one will see you. Kerek said with a hint of
annoyance in his voice.;A
lright. Ill do it. But Im still not sure this is a good idea. Lasar continued to protest. Ive got
one of those feelings again, you know the feeling that something unfortunate is going to
happen...;You always have ominous feelings Las, nothing will happen. Youre just being a wuss. Go!
Ordered Aldavien. Lasar grumbled s
omething unintelligible before raising his holy symbol that had been a gift from his master. He
uttered a few words and vanished.;Good luck! Be careful! Aedwyn cried as bushes on the outskirts of
the forest rustled.;That fool will prolly get himself killed. Aldavien sneered.;Nah. Hell make it.
Hes got some sense in hi
m... not a whole lot but hes got some. Kerek corrected Aldavien. So the four sat and waited for
Lasars return from the depths of the forest that was said to be plagued with trolls. They discussed
what they were to do once they reached their destination. The city of Baldurs Gate was beyond the
forest. To pass the time
Risaros told stories of his travels across the land and Aldavien boasted of the evil that he had
removed from Waterdeep. As the night progressed they all eventually fell asleep until the glare of
the midday sun above them awoke them.;Odd, he hasn't returned yet. What's keeping him? Wondered
Aedwyn aloud.;No, it really
isn't like him to take so long to scout an area and return. Agreed Risaros. Maybe I should check to
see how he is doing. He took out a tome filled with writing and marks that befuddled all except
those with the gift of enchantment. After glancing at the text for a while he closed it and began to
recite one of the spe
lls contained within the ancient tome. On completion of the enchantment. A third eye appeared in the
middle of the elfs forehead swirling with colors. Risaros vision was instantly of a dark clearing in
the midst of the forest. ;A large troll with green, bumpy and carbuncle covered skin stood directly
in front of Risar
os view. The troll was speaking in grunts to another troll nearby. A muffled cry was heard coming
from the left of the two. Bound and gagged to a tree was Lasar! The troll who had been addressed by
his companion as Cherzra inhaled deeply. Then in words that could be understood said:;You good catch
no? said the troll a
s she poked Lasar in the ribs and grinning with delight as her prisoner squirmed.;No fear. I will
torture not long. Soon I eat! Cherzra laughed as did her companion. Cherzra licked Lasar. Yes. Good
eat.;
Risaros suddenly gasped as his third eye faded back into his skin. He had lost what little color he
had in his cheeks and tried to speak but only mumbled.;Whats wrong? Are you ok? Aedwyn asked Risaros
as she steadied him.;Las.... Las.... he... is.... Risaros slowly formed the sentence.;He is what?
Aedwyn asked impatie
ntly.;The ranger... he got caught! Risaros finally exclaimed. Shock came to the faces of those
sitting listening to the frail elf speak.;I knew it! He always finds a way to mess things up!
Aldavien said then groaned loudly.;There is probably a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why
this happened. As for now we hav
e to get him out of there, we surely cant leave him. What did you see exactly Ris? Kerek said calmly
as Aldavien continued to fume.;Las was chained to a tree and a troll with green and bumpy skin whom
another troll called Cherzra spoke of eating him.
Eating him!? That means we must hurry, come on lets go! Aldavien ordered.;Ill see if I can find his
trail. Shouldnt be too hard, rangers are always leaving pieces of arrow and berries lying around.
Aedwyn said quickly.
So Aedwyn began to follow Lasars tracks through the forest as the other adventurers followed behind
her. They passed several trolls sleeping under the gnarled branches. Sneaking around each so as not
to wake them.
Shortly they reached a clearing within the dark forest. Torches burned brightly illuminating the
darkness caused by the dense foliage and revealing a small encampment with a few makeshift huts. In
the center was a large pit containing a crackling fire that was as large as one of the trolls that
was standing in front o
f it. To the left of the fire was a single tree with the silhouette of a creature that was almost
half the height of the troll near it. Risaros squinted his eyes as he tried to make out the detail
of the creature or person that was bound to the tree. ;There he is. Tied to that tree. Risaros
whispered to the rest of th
e group. They all nodded in agreement afraid to speak for fear they may also be captured.;We have to
do something. We cant just sit here! Aedwyn said as she began to shiver. A sudden gust of wind had
blown in from the east causing the fire to roar and suddenly grow intense.;Come on. Lets move.
Aldavien said through th
e wind. They once again rose and began to slowly sneak blending with the shadows as much as possible
until they were directly behind Lasar and could hear what was being said by the pair of trolls that
were in front of them.;Cherzra eat good. This one not stringy like other elf caught. It good. We all
eat. Grunted Cher
zra to the other troll standing next to her. The other troll glanced at the half-elf and then back
to Cherzra. ;Yes. Good eat tonight. Gruld eat good. Gruld smiled a wide toothy smile as he rubbed
his stomach. Cherzra turned and walked over to check on the fire that burned in the middle of the
clearing. Finding himsel
f alone, Gruld glanced around cautiously then slowly moved towards Lasar. Quickly (and amazingly
fast for a troll) he grab the tree that Lasar was tied to and tore it from the ground! Hearing the
noise of the tree being uprooted Cherzra turned to see Gruld begin to take off across the clearing
with the tree and the ha
lf-elf tied to it. Cherzra let out a terrifying roar that reverberated across the expanse of the
forest causing the four adventurers in the shadows to jump.
ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

The Sigil Information:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

THE HEART OF THE SIGIL

Loyalty.
The single tenet of The Sigil. This is what delineates our way from the
mindless anarchies of the Underdark. Even the great civilizations of the
Drow at Eryndlyn or Menzoberranzan, reduced to petty infighting, falter
in their bid for far-flung power. They lack fidelity toward their brethren.
Because there is no hierarchy in The Sigil, there will be no dissension
within its circle. Decisions for The Sigil are made by The Sigil, members
equal in voice. There will be only one vote and from this, there will be
only one voice. Membership in The Sigil mandates a members trustworthiness.
A member of The Sigil will be loyal to guild and fellow guildmember. This
tenet is not required. It simply is. To the strength of this bond, there
is no opposition. Take our possessions, burn our guildhall, torture our
members and The Sigil remains. Unbroken, unbending in the conviction and
strength of will of each of us. We are only as strong as our weakest link,
and therefore every member is of vital importance. The many acting toward
the purpose of the one. This is the pathway to our goal.

Power.
The singular vision of The Sigil. Wealth, magic, land, knowledge, prowess,
prestige, command. The manifestations of Power are unnumbered, but it cannot
be doubted there is neither gift nor prize greater. Through loyalty to guild
and fellow guildmember, The Sigil shall receive Power. Through The Sigil,
you shall receive Power. We will not waver. You will not waver. We shall
achieve our goal. There is no other way.

THE DOCTRINE

We are loyal to The Sigil and our fellows. We are accountable to The Sigil
and our fellows. This is our doctrine. The status of membership mandates
ones ability to think for oneself, to improve oneself, and to promote the
betterment of the guild. This is the whole of our law. To act otherwise
is to commit treason. Constitution of an act of treason will be determined
by a vote. Guilt will be dealt with severely. Our doctrine frees us from
the strictures that enslave other groups.

Requirements for membership are few. You must share our vision. You must
devote yourself completely. Any member of The Sigil may be approached
with an inquiry.

GUIDELINES

These bylaws are etched into the hearts of our members. They are listed
only as a guide for potential members and are subject to change in times
of war:

No Sigil member may act against another member. Bring the evidence to
the guild. There will be a vote.

Once a member, you may not leave without the consent of The Sigil. There
will be a vote. Should you depart of your own volition, you will not divulge
anything learned of our way. You will return anything you have received.
If you are asked to leave, you may keep what you have gained, but still
must not reveal anything of our way. Removal of your name from the roll
of membership is irrevocable. There is no return.

The Sigil and its members are of paramount importance. If you are needed
while in another group, you will immediately leave and join us. There is
no hesitation, no excuse. There is only loyalty. Failure to do so will
result in banishment from the guild. No one is too busy to give aid to
another member. If assistance is required, you must give it. Failure to
do so will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. There will be a vote. There
is a possibility of banishment.

There will be no squabbling over trinkets or other possessions.

ALLIES AND ENEMIES OF THE SIGIL

This world is young, as are we. There are no current allies in our agenda
of power. Enemies are abundant. The goodly races shall be considered your
enemy. Trust them not. Use them as you will, deal with them as you will.
Take their money, their items. Further your own needs and the needs of The
Sigil, but never trust them.

THE WAY OF THE SIGIL

The way of The Sigil is Power. Power from all its varied sources, and thus
control through Power. As we grow larger, we will be coveted. As our numbers
grow, people shall come to realize the truth of this vision. There shall
be attempts of sabotage. There shall be disputes between other guilds.
We shall remain strong. We know this truth. We shall send this message
to the corners of the Realms. All shall know the name of The Sigil. Any
who stand in our way shall be dealt with efficiently and with impunity.
None shall sunder that which we have built through determination and conviction.
The world shall stand forever changed. This change begins now.

We are The Sigil.

Tel'Quessir Information:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Alahnar Nightglade carefully wiped his Moonblade clean of the sticky blood that
oozed down the surface of its blade. Patiently, he scanned the edges of the dark
Elder Forrest, keen eyes darting from tree to tree. He was tall for an elf, nearly
six feet, with muscles that all but defined his position as captain of the
Leuthilspar Guards. Even for an elf of his vast age, he was certainly a menacing
figure. The clearing around him was eerily quiet. Nearly a dozen fresh corpses
were just now beginning attract a small entourage of flies. A russle in the thick
brush to his left brought his blade to the ready.
Out stepped a slender elf, who bowed in respect to his commander. Captain sir,
he began as Alahnar sheathed his sparkling moonblade,
"The ogre raiders have retreated back to the depths of the forrest. Or rather what
remains of them sir. Lt. Sehvan hesitated evoking a solemn grimace from Alahnar,
for the good captain knew this to be a likely indication of unpleasant news.
"We lost three of our scouts Captain. They advanced far beyond the range of our
primary legion, and appears as though they had found themselves isolated within
the middle of the ogre movement.
Alahnar winced and nodded slowly. He knew that losses were to be expected, and
had seen more than his share in his lifetime. But the current circumstances regarding
his problem with replenishing his forces with skilled guards, only added to his
ordinary concern for the loss of his own men.
"Recall our forces Lieutenant, have all the wounded brought back to the temple.
Assure a double watch is posted at our gates tonight. And Lieutenent Sehvan....
once again a fine job. I feel for our losses, but as usual you have kept them to a
    minimal considering the circumstances.
Lt. Sehvan saluted briskly and started back through the thick forrest, disappearing
from view within seconds. Captain Alahnar waited for a few moments, listening to
the now constant buzz of flies that swarmed over the ogre corpses, and saluted the
    eerily quiet forrest...
King Baratosil paced his spacious throne room. His boot falls echoed steadily in the
near empty chamber. He nervously twiddled his thumbs behind his back, in anticipation
of the return of his loyal captain. His entourage of attendants and private guards were
hours ago ushered out, for he demanded a silent vault in which to contemplate the
frustrations that plagued his noble kingdom. For centuries untold he had ruled over a
near perfect dominion. He had kept his city free of the corruptions that ran rampant in
nearly all of the outside world. Poverty, crime, and disease were almost non-existant
in Leuthilspar. His elite guard had kept outsiders from defiling the great city, and kept
    the peace without major incident.
The evilness that lurked in the realms about his city were kept in confident check, and
had rarely dared attack anyone within sight of Leuthilspar's magnificent gates...until now.
His greatest problem was emmigration. As wonderful as his kingdom was, his people
had left. Why the would leave such tranquility in return for chaos, disease, corruption,
and danger...was simply beyond him. Elves were generally not prone to lose themselves
in the excitement of adventure. Waterdeep offered variety, and new explorations, but in
return for a city full of rogues and beggars? And Baldurs Gate, the wretched city that openly
welcome drow and other such vile scum. The good King did not understand the trends of
    his people as of late.
Finally the return of Captain Alahnar, brought a relieved smile to the King's worried face.
But that smile soon faded as Captain Alahnar finished reporting the latest episodes of
violence that struck far too close to Leuthilspar today. Something had to be done.
The peace of his city, and the traditions of his people were slowly ebbing away.
And to make matters worse, the enemies of Leuthilspar saw this as well. How long could
he maintain a city and kingdom deprived of its own people? What Leuthilspar needed was
a stop to this exodus. His royal guards craved the experience of seasoned heroes,
his people yearned for the wise teachings and leaderships of wordly elves, and his city
looked desperatly for the guidance of great priests.
"Captain Alahnar, we must find a way to protect the destiny and heritage of this Kingdom.
Go forth to the world bring back those who have forgotten where they come from.
Let them share the wisdom and experience they have learned outside of this island,
back home. They may even find some sympathetic outsiders to support this cause.
Captain Alahnar bowed his head and saluted his majesty, who continued And Captain
Alahnar.....You may start with your own sons. The time for Tel'Quessir has begun Captain."

Waelcyrge Sororitas Information:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

It was a call that none of the sisters will ever forget, a call that made
meaningless all motivations of mortal life. The call was heard by all on
that day, regardless of race or profession, the clarion call of the gods.
This call is one to take our place in the history of Faerun, our place as
those who would choose the fallen, and bring glorious battle to defend the
defenseless and aid those who would choose to live without it. Our name
signifies our duty to one another and to the many kingdoms of Faerun, the
name of Waelcyrge Sororitas, The Sisterhood of Valkyries, will echo in the
annals of history for generations to come. This is our decree, and now it
begins.
